Recently Liesl and I have been making "ugly dolls". She has been the chief designer telling me what she wants them to look like and I do all the rest. She does love to supervise. We even made a "bear ugly doll" for Grady and helped a little with Gavin's "mickey themed" ugly doll. I have been doing a lot of other sewing projects too lately. Finally starting and completing a quilt for the couch that we call our cray quilt because of the weight on it. It isn't very large but it has a canabalized doubled up quilt inside that we didn't like. I stole the rest of the stuffing from the remainder of the quilt for other projects. Liesl and I also made some pillow cases for her new bedroom with princess patterns on them that she picked out and a bed skirt that I refinished with princesses after tearing the ugly skirt material off the bottom. Also planning on buying fabric for curtains in the baby's room but have not found the right fabric just yet.
Liesl and Jeanie's rooms have been both painted and redecorated. Liesl has princesses and fairies everywhere. I was planning on painting thistles as a chair rail in Jeanie's room when I get a chance. Currently it is pink. I can get the rest in whenever I have some free time.
